In those days when we mentioned tourist it had to be the White from Europe or America but today it as different story altogether. Today it the Chinese from the PRC. They came in droves to enjoy themselves with the luxurious life that any country could offer. One of their favourite destination is Malaysia especially to Kuala Lumpur. One my last visit two weeks ago to the Bukit Bintang area of the city I saw many changes. I believed I had not been there for almost a year. Most of the buildings in  the area had either been upgraded or renovated with a a new front befitting the looks of a tourists destination in Kuala Lumpur. Above is an image on one side of the road. I had to get a Decoder for one of my TV, so I went to the Low Yat Plaza at Bukit Bintang to get it. I got there by the E-hailing taxi MyCar. It was a pleasant ride which cost me just below MR10.00. Got there in good time and went to the Food Court to get some bites. After getting the Decoder I went to take a walk along Jalan Bukit Bintang heading toward the Pavilion. I was surprised to see that whole area had been sprue up and the place looks different that before, since I went there a year ago. Bukit Bintang is already throng with tourists going both ways. I took it easy and just walk at my pace. At the same time with my Canon EOS M10 I took as much images of the changing scenes along the way. The haze is still there but not that bad so it was alright to take some good images along the way. Bukit Bintang is one of the oldest road in Kuala Lumpur. It name may have derive from the hill and the Stars that could be seen there on clear nights. So, on looking at the heaven one could see stars lighting the night sky. It became a picturesque sight especially seen behind the green hill of the area. Thus, folks in those days call it Star hill or in Malay as Bukit Bintang. From time to time I would just go there to walk and wander along to see the development and the thousands of tourists that throng the place days and nights. It is now one of the most popular tourists spot in the city of Kuala Lumpur. Here are some images that I took while there two weeks ago. The top picture show Icecream from Turkey sold along the road, the second picture show a classic  exterior decor in front  of a restaurant  and the other one shows the interchange where the monorail station is. We was at the Twinkle Villa in Janda Baik last weekend. It was our first visit to this hideout in the jungle of Bentong, part of the main range call the Banjaran Titiwangsa. It a nice place to get lost from the hustle bustle of city life. While there I did lots of photography and above is an image of  t he friendly birds that I saw at the compound of the Villa, City kids would surely be amazed with these birds eh!  Have a nice day.

Being a Kuantanite I have been to Cherating many times and of course during my childhood and my youth Cherating have been our camping place. We would hike from the Kuantan town and camp there on the weekend; enjoying ourselves oblivious of the world.  Cherating today in no longer a quiet place like before, it is sort of a tourists’ destination, a destination like Bali with all the potential of becoming one. Well, with proper planning it could be just as great a destination to enjoy the sea. It not that far away from Kuala Lumpur, it just a three or four house leisure drive or an hour flight and you are there facing kilometers and kilometers of open beaches facing the vast South China Sea. And folks a very clean beach all the years round. It been kept clean by the bashing of the waves from the open sea.  There are many kinds of accommodation there that would suit everyone pocket; from the cheapest Kampong house living to the various type of chalets, to the most...
