Growing Veges at Home...

Well at this trying time when everyone had to stay at home because of the Control Movement Order or CMO folks can only go out to get grocery or by food. So with ingenuity some members of the family thought of the ideas of growing simple vegetable like the Bean Sprout or what we call here as Towgey and Mushroom at their homes.

Our youngest daughter who live at a Condo nearby decided to grow the Towgey while the second granddaughter who now work in Penang grows the Mushroom. It looks likes this Convid 19 lock-down did create changes in the way society live their lives when they cannot go out but had to stay at their home all the time to break the chain of the virus spreading. Images above are the process of growing the Beans Sprouts or Towgay at home. The image of the right is the Mushroom project by our second granddaughter who now live in Penang.

And today we had Towgey dish [image on the left] for lunch from the one grown by our youngest daughter. Well folks life is like that.

Diastole Cafe

Kuala Lumpur., Yesterday the 9th of March 2024 we were taken by our eldest daughter(Dr.Ruszy) and her husband(Dr.Amin) to go and see the place their new project, a coffee shop is been planned at an outlet in Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras The outlet is called Diastole Cafe and managed by their eldest son Anwar. It is planned to be opened on June 1st 2024 In Sya Allah. Alhamdulillah.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already. My little garden . ..

I love gardening and with the little space that I got in front of my patio I planted many greens including the one that flowers throughout the years. As they say flowers are the keepers of our Joys. Indeed they are. I am always happy when looking at these wonderful God's creation. Here are some of the flowers that blooms in my little garden as well those that grows in front of the house.
