From the Virtual to the Physical world...

With the New Media we get to makes friends in the virtual world. It could be done through Twitter or Facebook. Before this we only get to meet new friends at function or when introduced by friends or relatives but now it a different story altogether. On Facebook we can makes friends just by looking for friends on stranger's Facebook Timeline or strangers from other FB Account can just add us as their friends by just clicking the Add Friends application on the Timeline. If we want to be friends we just accept or if not just delete. It is as easy as that. From then onward we just continue our friendship by reading friend's posting and from time to post comments on their wall. As we go on we could chat on one to one using the Messenger application on FB. Eventually the friendships became close just like in the physical world. The only different is that we do not meet in person like in the real world. We only communicate in cyberspace. Then things began to develop where friends on FB would suggest that we meet in the physical world. In the recent happening on November 27, 2018 a numbers of us decided to meet and get to know each other in the  real wold.

As seen in the images above we have been FB friends for some times. It was Insun Sony Mustapha Fenner  's idea that we meet for lunch at MM mall in Malawati, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur. Thus we Zarra Zarina JaffarGevaratnam Thuraisingam , Kamariah Jaafar and me met for the first time. Kamariah whom I had invited came with her daughter while Insun with her spouse Seppo. It turn out be a wonderful gathering of like-minded folks exchanging thoughts on various subjects that pop up as we were enjoying the Nyona cuisines at one of the restaurant there..

Thanks for the beautiful gathering folks. I did had a great time. Take care. Have a nice day.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already.  I posted that image on Facebook and below are two informative comments made there by two of

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
