The books...

I am always a regular to my favourite bookstore, the Kinokuniya at KLCC.  Because of the pendemic and the MCO it became difficult to get to the store to get books. Lucky I had bought many before the lock down, so there was plenty to keep me occupied. After almost a year I had read them all. So last Monday I went there and got a numbers of books to keep me busy reading.  In looking for books to read among the thousands that are on  displayed in the store I left to my intuition to select books to read. I always believed that books looks for its reader and not the other way around, just like buying a good furniture. So this times after almost a year I picked up at random, glance at the brief writen at the back cover and then read a little from the beginning of the page. When I felt good about it I select it to buy. So on that day I selected 5 books as seen above. I have starts reading one and found it to be a good read indeed. Well folks like is like that.  ...

The Good Life...

It Saturday, the weather is beautiful. After doing the morning ritual like feeding the Cats, the Fish in the pond and putting fresh foods at the Birdfeeder at the Serambi I decided to Lepak at KLCC. My spouse did not want to come along. She say just get a takeaway of Biayni for her. I drove the Honda and got to the mall in good times. Had a simple lunch of Mee Mamak at the RASA food court and then after browsing at Kinokuniya bought a book by John Grisham. Went upstairs to the Coffee Club and sat down to enjoy the coffee with a snack. Well that's life... Have a nice day.

Books looks for its Readers...

It the 16th day of Ramadan. As usual in the evening I would sit at the Serambi [Malay patio] and take it easy. The clock on the wall shows its 6.18 pm and it raining. Nice. I always love the rain. Now it kept the Serambi cool and a nice place to while the time away before Buka Puasa [iftar] . Kenet the cat is with me perhaps enjoying the rain too. I have just start reading this book by Lauren Booth the sister in law of Tony Blair the former PM of UK. She has since convert to Islam and wrote this book, thus the title ' Finding Peace in the Holy Land '. Well I just bought the book a few days ago, not looking for it but found it glaring at me. Without thinking much bought three books including this one.  The other two are about Islam too [image on the left] I have always believe that books always looks for it's reader. So in one looks I bought three books just on impulse. Most of the time I get good books and this time I am indeed happy to get all the three books in one g...

The Book...

I love reading. It a passion of mine since teenage. So I am never without a book. At time I would read two or three books a time.  Going through the bookcase I found this book that I have not read. It was among books that my daughter brought home some years ago. Friend had given her the collections of books. She say to me Dad you may like some of these novels. I took all those books and stacked it on  the bookshelf.  Now I am reading it. It looks to be an interesting book.  Have a nice day.

Beautiful People Beautiful Mind...

Thursday the twentieth of August was a beautiful day. After an early lunch I decided to go to the KLCC just to while my time there. It a mall that I love to go and enjoy my time in the atmosphere of the first world. Been there is just like been in any mall in the first world; be it in New York or Boston or London. I have been to the malls in those major cities and found that the mall at the KLCC is just like what one get at the malls there. So whiling the time there is a refreshing moment indeed. To me after living in the vicinity of the city of Kuala Lumpur for more than forty years the mall is part of my living culture and I am enjoying it. As usual I drove the Honda to the parking lot at the basement of KLCC, took the lift to the concourse area and make my way to the nearest shopping outlet there.  It was just before lunch time and the mall is already throng with folks enjoying their day. I browse through the M & S outlet and did not find anything I l...
