Driving to KLCC . ..

This morning I decide to drive to KLCC to get some items that could be got only there. I have not driven the Accord to KLCC for some  times already. The furthest I drive nowadays is to Ampang Point, a mall that is just one and half kilometres away. KLCC is ten kilometers right to the parking lots. To and fro it twenty kilometers. An easy drive from my home in Ampang Jaya using the Ahlek elevated highway. Just before ten in the morning I left the house and got there before ten. Parked my car at level three and went into the mall after going through the Covid19 ritual of unsing the MySejahtera App. There were not many people at this early hour. Straight away I walk to M & S and got a few packages of our favourite biscuits. Then went to Kinokuniya to looks for books. I left kino without getting any book and took the escalator down to the Isetan supermarket and bought two whole roasted Black pepper chicken that my spouse had suggested that I buy. I then got to my car an...

Dinning out...

Since the MCO because of Covid 19 pandemic we have not gone out since the month of March 2020. Now that the MCO had been relaxed we decided to go the the Dome at KLCC to have dinner. Since I no longer drive in the evening to the city daughter drive the Accord. We left and got caught with evening traffic. It took us almost an hour to get to KLCC which is just 10 kilometres away from our place. We take our time and got to the Dome restaurant on the ground floor. We soon found that the Dome had move to a new location to a  better space with a totally new ambiance.  Nice!  We got ourselves a comfortable table for three and placed our orders with the friendly waiter who had ushered us in. While waiting for our foods we chats and notices that more folks are walking in for dinner too. Then our foods arrived. Without much a do we dug in and enjoyed the sumspous meals.. After dinner I had Coffee and it does rejuvenate me. After paying the bill we head to the M & S ...

Stree Photography; Christmas Tree at the KLCC park...

Good Morning folks. It December 2, 2019 and soon we would be in the year 2020. Last week I went to the KLCC after a month of absence. It was a beautiful day. I decided to take a long stroll at the mall and then went to the level 4 and browse along at the bookstore there. From the window of the bookstore Kinokuniya I took this image of the KLCC park. They have put up a huge Christmas tree  there awaiting the celebration of Christmas this year. Above is an image that I took that morning.  Have a nice day.

Street Photography; The Underground pathway...

There are not many underground pathways in the city of KL. Above is one which connect the Suria KLCC mall to the Avenue K, as well the KLCC LRT station. I like this pathway since it always lively with folks crossing both ways. A colourful area indeed. At the Avenue K side there are the machines and booths to get tickets for the train ride from the KLCC LRT station below this level. At time one get to enjoy Busker performing at entrance of Avenue K. I would watch and take pictures of their performance from time to time and of course do give donation for their entertaining performances. Beautiful indeed.  Have a nice day.

The Good Life...

It Saturday, the weather is beautiful. After doing the morning ritual like feeding the Cats, the Fish in the pond and putting fresh foods at the Birdfeeder at the Serambi I decided to Lepak at KLCC. My spouse did not want to come along. She say just get a takeaway of Biayni for her. I drove the Honda and got to the mall in good times. Had a simple lunch of Mee Mamak at the RASA food court and then after browsing at Kinokuniya bought a book by John Grisham. Went upstairs to the Coffee Club and sat down to enjoy the coffee with a snack. Well that's life... Have a nice day.

Snippet from FaceBook # 7...

I plan to lepak at KLCC this morning but had to postpone it to tomorrow. Anyway I did went to KLCC this morning but just to get some grocery that my spouse need urgently. After doing the purchases I drive the Honda back into Ahlek to get home the normal way but soon found out that the road back to Ampang is closed and traffics were diverted to the Jalan Sultan Ismail. I follow and turn left into Jalan Ampang. I thoughts it would be just an easy drive back to Ampang but I was  wrong, the road in front of KLCC was closed (I later found out that the KLCC is the starting point of De Tour Langkawi cycle race which start this morning). Traffic were diverted to JalanYap Kwan Seng. I just follow and exit out into Jalan Tun Razak. I missed the exit to reconnect with Ahlek so I then took Jalan Semarak, got into Datuk Keramat and back again into Jalan Ampang. Then drive into a familiar route home. Today I found that I was able to drive into the city without problems, bearing in mind that I ha...

Work of Art at KLCC..

The Petronas Twin Towers is just five minutes away from my home in Ampang Jaya. Using the Elevated Highway I could get there, right into the Parking lots in mere minutes. Thus I go there often to [Lepak] while my time. The architect Cesar Pelli thoughts of every nook and corner when he set to design the KLCC. As a frequent visitor to the Suria Mall I am never cease to be amazed at the fusion of the work of art in the building. No other building in the city of KL could match the meticulous detail planning that goes into realising this iconic building. Translating the thoughts of Tun M into reality, the Petronas Twin Towers or the KLCC in KL..  Have a nice day.

Roof of the Suria Mall, KLCC

One of the building I am still as amazed as it was first open to the public is the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. It is not that far away from my home, just a five minutes drive to the parking lots of the mall. I go there often to enjoy the mall as well to shop or enjoy having meals at the restaurant there. Everytime I am there I always take some pictures of the interior of the building. Although I have been there countless time I am still amazed of the uniqueness of architecture of the building. There  is always something to see and enjoy at close  range. Above is an image of the translucent roof of the Suria Mall that I took a week ago using my EOS M5. Enjoy it folks much as I had enjoyed snapping it.  Have a nice day.

Of Photography; the Park at KLCC...

I was at the KLCC the other day and from the fourth floor of the Suria Mall I took this image of the fountain down there. .I shot it using the Mirrorless Canon EOS M10 from the window of the Kinokuniya. Enjoy it folks much as I  had enjoyed photographing it.  Have a nice day.

Glorious Fountain at KLCC....

Last Saturday we went to KLCC for dinner. After dinner while the ladies went to shop I decides to do some photography of the evening there. Chance had it at that very moment the fountains at the pool of the KLCC was choreographed with sound and color. It was a really field-day to me to try my new  camera for the night scene. Been new to the latest technology of photography it was a learning process in trying to capture the best image using that camera. In the past I would use the heavy DSLR for this purpose. This evening the new EOS M10 a camera much smaller and lighter than the DSLR capturing images seem to be very easy indeed. Let the camera do everything with it builtin computer; than at the right moment just snap it. It is at this very moment that one have to understand the camera by feel and touch. Once that is done it became so easy. I took my time to take as many images as possible. I am sharing it here for all to enjoy much as I had enjoyed learning and photo...

A beautiful day in February...

It was a beautiful day in February. Since it a Saturday we decided to go for lunch at the KLCC. It is just a  five minutes ride from our home in Ampang Jaya.  While at the second level of the building and walking toward the food-court I  snap this image of the garden outside,  enclaves by tall buildings as can be seen in this photograph.  Have a nice day.

Of Stalls @ KLCC...

It was a cool day so I decides to take a drive to KLCC, my favorite lepak place. It is just a five minutes’ drive away from my home. After parking my car at the basement took the lift to Level C. The firsts thing one see at this level are the many stalls in the center of the concourse selling all kinds of goods. With artistically displayed the good turns the stalls into a colorful work of art. Nice to look and I believe it does attract buyer too. I snap some images as I walk from one corner of the concourse to the other. The purpose of my visit today after a lapse of months was to go to the Kinokuniya Bookstore at Level four to see whether there are books that would add to my reading collection. After window-shop as well looking for hat at a few outlets and did not  find any that I like at level C and G I took the lift to level four and went into the bookstore. There were already many people looking for books and a few seen queuing to makes paymen...
