Night photography...

One of my hobby is photography.  I have gone into using the latest technology in photography; from the bulky DSLR to now using the latest Mirrorless camera. It is compact and light. With additional lenses like the 200mm and the 230mm as well the wide angle and Micro lens I am able to move forwards with many ranges of photography. Above is an image of photo that I took with the Canon M10 on a night trip into the city. I was not driving thus I managed to snap that scene from a moving car. Enjoy it folks much as I had enjoyed snapping it. Have a nice day.

The Moon on the 14 Rejab...

Now that the weather is hot and with less rains it times to look at the sky for a shot of the Moon. During the last few days I have managed to get some good images of the moon. From childhood I have been fascinated with the moon especially on a dark day before electricity. On a full moon we could easily walk to the Kuantan town on the laterite road from my house. Without the moon the whole area would be pitched black. We can't even see ourselves as we walk. That is darkness before the arrival of electricity to the kampong and towns in Malaya. Now folks take for granted where electricity is the norms and folks does not understand what darkness means. It history now. This evening I managed to get a good shot of the almost full moon with my Fujifilm X-T100 with the all new 230mm lens. Happy with it I am sharing it here for everyone to see and enjoy much as I had enjoyed snapping it.  Have a nice day.

The Moon...

Well it's has not been easy to do photography lately because of the weather. It has been raining and when it did not, the atmosphere is cloudy which made photography difficult. This morning when I went out of the house to take a breath of fresh air I scan the heaven and was delighted to get a glimpse of the moon. I then went back into the house and got my camera.  With the 230mm lens I aimed the Fujifilm x100 and took a few shots of the moon. Happy with it I am sharing it here for everyone to enjoy.  Have a nice day.

The Moon...

5.12 2020 is one bright morning. It the 19th day of the Hijrah month of  Rabuilakhir 1442. I went out and look at the sky and saw the moon up above. Such a beautiful sight to watch and wonder the heaven. I am sort of fascinated with the moon from an early age. My grandmother says that we must respect the moon and not to point a finger to the moon. She say that there is a Nenek Kebayan on the  moon and we kids believe it for we consider Nenek is a wise person. As I grow up and have my own camera to shoot the moon my fascination with the moon continue.  Now with the Mirrorless camera and the 200mm lens I could easily get a good image of the moon whenever it appears in the night sky or in the morning.  Because of the monsoon season  the sky is hardly clear so for months I did not get to watch the moon. And today I saw it in front of my house. I took my EOS Mirrorless M5 and with the 200mm lens took several shots and sharing it here for every...

Photography. ..

One of my hobby is photography and the above photo was taken on this gorgeous Friday morning (13.11.2020) in front of my house, part of my little garden. And this is that of the flows of light through the kitchen window, Nenek's special space. Flowers as they say are the keepers of our joys. Indeed. Enjoy the weekend folks. Have a nice day.

The plane, the plane...

It was a gorgeous morning. The sky was blue. Suddenly I saw a plane passes by up above leaving  a trail of clouds as it move on toward it's destination, perhaps Kota Bharu in Kelantan. I decides to take a picture of it as it move. Had I go and get my camera it may not be there any longer so I decided to take a snap using my cellphone.  By the time I got to taking a few shots it has moved further. Anyway I managed to capture a good image of that passing jetliner. Had I wait and lost a second that plane would have gone further and would not be possible to take a photo, what with the cellphone! Anyway luck was on my side and I managed to take a relatively good photography of that passing jet. Happy I edited the image and sharing it here for all to enjoy.  Have a nice day.

The EFM 11-22 mm lens...

Last week I got a new lens for my mirrorless camera the Canon EOS M10. This is a Wide Angle lens which also allows for taking Macro shot. With this 11-22 mm lens I could get into another level of photography. It would be a new adventure in the world of photography using the Mirrorless camera. Because of its advance technology many aspects of photography could be done with this single lens thus it a good lens to have when travelling. Above is a wide angle photo that I took using this lens. Amazing indeed.  Have a nice day.

The 8th Syawal Moon...

This evening at about seven in the I went out of the house and on looking at the sky I saw a half moon which is the eighth day of the Syawal month of the Islamic calendar; eight days of the Hari Raya or the Aidil Fitri this year. I then took my Canon EOS M5 with the 200 mm lens and snaps a numbers of shots. Edited it and above is among the best image taken at 7.12 pm on May 31, 2020. Enjoy it folks as  much as I had enjoy taking it.  Have a nice day.

The 15th Day Ramadan Moon...

Alhamdullilah we have reached the fifteen day of fasting during the month of Ramadan this year. For the whole of Ramadan Muslim all over the world went on a spiritual journey by fasting for the whole month. I believe we all are enjoying the wisdom of fasting. Tonight after the Isya and the Tarawih prayers I went out to watch the sky and saw a full moon which is the 15th day of Ramadan this year. With my Canon EOS camera fitted with the 200 mm lens I snap a few shots of the full moon and above is the image of the moon on the evening of May 8, 2020 at 9.41 pm.  Majestic indeed.    Have a nice day.

Full Moon...

It the 15th day of the Islamic month of Syaaban. I went out and saw the full moon. It was raining and the sky was cloudy. Anyway I tried to get a shot of the moon and manage to get somewhat a good shot as shown above.  Have a nice day.

Shooting the Moon with the 500 mm lens....

As always I am fascinated with the sky and the galaxy where the millions of stars shown glittering every evening thus I took pictures of the moon and the sun from time to time. To get a better images of the heaven I decided to get a better lens for such photography. The lens that I had been using is for a 200 mm shot and yesterday I went out to get myself a new gift, a 300 mm lens. At the friend's outlet  at KLCC I was told by the sales person there that its better to get a 500 mm instead of the 300 and that the price is not that much difference. After looking at the 500 mm lens and testing it I decided to get it. So last evening on 12.1.20 at past 10.00 pm I decided to test the new lens but it was cloudy and the moon was behind the cloud. I went back into the house and a moment later I was alerted by a friend that the moon is  bright out there. I took the Canon EOS M5 and with the new lens fixed to it and took a few shots. It was indeed amazing to see the moo...

The Mystic of the Moon...

As usual I love to shoot the night sky especially the heavenly objects like the moon or other planet up there. I managed to get a good shot of the full moon which happened on January 10 and 11, 2020. I took a shot of the almost full moon on the evening at 8.17 pm. Although it was sort of cloudy I  managed to get a good shot and share it on Facebook. Then a friend post a comment of FB saying that I should wait till 3.00 am the next morning where there is a penumbral eclipse of the moon.  I went to sleep hoping that I would managed to wake up and shoot the moon in the early hours on January 11, 2020. Happy with the shot this evening I went to sleep and woke up at just past two in the morning. As usual when I wake up in the early morning I would do the Tahajud prayer. I did that and then took my camera with the 200 mm lens and went out to have a look at the sky. Sure enough up there on the west the full moon was shining bright on a clear sky. I was delighted and took ...

The Moon and Venus....

Last evening [ December 29, 2019] I went out to look at  the sky and there in front of me up above is the crescent Moon and below is another bright light like a star. It always there but today it a bit brighter and in line with the crescent moon above it. I then went up the house and took my camera with the telephoto lens. I came  back and snap the picture of the crescent moon and the scene of the moon and that bright star. I then posted on Facebook and was told in comments and on checking other sources on Google that the dot in the sky below the moon is Venus. I am indeed happy to know now that bright Star that I at time saw in the evening sky is the planet Venus or Mars. This time it is indeed Venus. Above are images of the sky that I took at 8.17 pm last night. Have a nice day.

Solar Eclipse 2019...

Solar eclipse is a rare occurrence and this time after 21 years it happens above the sky of Malaysia. It was mid day and cloudy but the sun could be seen behind the clouds and the eclipse was happening. With the old technology camera it would be difficult to take a shot of the solar eclipse as it was not possible to simply point the camera and shoot at the sun, it intense brightness would affect the eyes. Now with new technology shooting the sun is easy. I am using the Mirrorless camera where there is a touch viewing screen to monitor the images. I could see the images of the eclipse on the camera viewing screen and to take the picture I had only to touch the touchscreen to snap the sun. I took many shots and  managed to get a good shot of the eclipse at 1.13 pm today December 26,2019. The camera I am using is the Canon EOS M 5 - on Auto using the configuration of 1/4000 sec. f/20 200 mm - ISO 100. Above is th...

The plane in the Sky....

That morning the sky was clear and I saw the moon. I went in to get my camera with the telephoto lens. I then try to get the best shot of the moon. While focusing on the moon a plane passes by but I was not able to get the image of both the moon and the plane in one shot. Since the place was moving and not to missed to capture the image of the plane I decided to shoot the moving image first and later would do the moon. I then took a few shots of the moving plane and about is a shot that I felt good about it. Thus I am sharing it here for all to see and enjoy, much as I had enjoyed taking it.  Have a nice day.

Stree Photography; Christmas Tree at the KLCC park...

Good Morning folks. It December 2, 2019 and soon we would be in the year 2020. Last week I went to the KLCC after a month of absence. It was a beautiful day. I decided to take a long stroll at the mall and then went to the level 4 and browse along at the bookstore there. From the window of the bookstore Kinokuniya I took this image of the KLCC park. They have put up a huge Christmas tree  there awaiting the celebration of Christmas this year. Above is an image that I took that morning.  Have a nice day.

The Moon in November 2019....

Taken on 17.11.19 at 7.43 am Taken on 20.11.19 at 7.40am                                                     Taken on 23.11.19 at 9.20 am For the last half a year the weather have been cloudy, first with the haze and then with the arrival of the Northeast monsoon it rains most of the times and the sky became cloudy too. Thus it was just difficult to get a good shots of the moon, the raising or the setting sun. Anyway on any sunny days I would try to get a good shots of the moon or the sun or any object that I saw. About are some images that I shot which turns out to be good images. I am sharing it here for all the see and enjoy.  Have a nice day.

The Morning Sun...

Woke up to a beautiful day with bright sunning sun at the kitchen. I have been under the weather for almost a month and beginning to recover now. It starts with a bout of fever and bad throat and felt lousy. Did not have appetite too, thus I have not been blogging. After taking all the medicine I am beginning to heals. Well at this age the healing process takes longer than before. Anyway I felt as healthy now and could go out to enjoy the day. And today it was really nice to see the sun ray passing through the kitchen's windows. It does add colon to the kitchen space. About is the image of the kitchen this beautiful morning.  Have a nice day.
