Synchronicity.

BTW Sychronicity is Tawafuq in Islam.  The happening was yesterday 5.2.2022. I met a person that  I had not met since fifteen years ago. On WhatsApp later I wrote this to her. "Amazing indeed that today January 5, 2022 we meet again after fifteen years. It was on November 8, 2007 that we met at the Coffee club at Kinokuniya, KLCC. That scene is still vivid in my mind; two strangers, one a young students of journalism from a local University and me a retired government officer from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, then a Blogger. I blog here on that meeting on ..  The meeting on 8.11.2007  In this meeting she was gathering information on the role of blog in the new media, for her study on journalism. I tried to help her with whatever knowledge I have on the role of Blogger in this new era of information sharing.  By the grace of God today's meeting of just a few minutes became an important dot in both the life of this gorgeous woman whose na...

Of Guardian Angel; daughters of late friends....

They say things happened for a reason and I do believe so. Let me relate here two recent happening which I believe is the way our guardian's angel works. First I saw a comment in  Taib Wahab 's Facebook posting where he highlighted the demise three years ago of a close friend Mohamed Ibrahim which we fondly address as Mat Bra. It happened that Mat Bra was one of my closest friend when we were attached to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports since the early seventies. Through this posting I got connected with  Mar Ilyani Mohamed  the yo ungest daughter of Mat Bra. The second happening was a young woman the daughter of a family, a neighbour in Cendering where we live when working in Terengganu. She saw a FB posting of a photo of me and spouse having dinner with my nephew's  Hyree Ibrahim Kutty , her uni colleague. She  Julaillah Mohd Sarif  put two and two together and contacted me on FB. In the conversation I soon found out that both her parents h...

Getting around in the Golden Age...

It another Friday folk and almost the end of March 2018. Tomorrow is another weekend. It looks time moved so fast nowadays. Hardly we knew it already another month. Next week would be the last week of March 2018. This Sunday I would be meeting for the first time two of my Facebook friends. We planned to meet at 12pm at KL Sentral. Well as I had always say strangers are friends we have yet to meet. We have been friends in the virtual world and God willing we would be friends in the physical world as well. At my age I had to find an easy place to meet friend, as well for friends of my age group to meet too. Since I do not drive into the city anymore I found the KL Sentral is the best place to meet as one could get there by trains like the LRT, MRT, Commuter and of course by taxi or by Grab or Uber. I would be taking Grab there as that is the easier way to get straight to KL Sentral. Another choice for me is to drive my car to KLCC which is just five minutes away from my home, park t...

Of The Twilight Zone...

I thought that for today I would just share this wonderful experience that I had had some years ago. It sort of like an episode in the Twilight zone. Let me start this way. It about my friendship with a schoolmate of mine Jerry Lee. Jerry Lee and I had been classmate from the age of 11 years old when I start schooling at the Abdullah School [English school] in Kuantan, Pahang. I start schooling in 1946 after the war. The first three years was in the Malay School. When we move from the Malay school to the English school the first two years all of us from the Malay School were put into the Special Malay Class 1 and 2 in the English school. This was to prepare us to be integrated into the normal class in the English school starting in the Standard IV of the English Primary School. After that it would be just the normal classes in the English school until Form V. From then henceforth we were always in the same class all the years on until we finished schooling in 1957. While in...

Meeting a Stranger Sharifah...

Many things happen in life that we have yet to understand. It just happened when we least expected, like this story that unfolded as I moved on in life. On my journey of life many such incidents did happen and I would be telling it in this blog as I move on. This is one of the stories that I would put in the categories of mysticism.  Some years back I received a request from a woman, a stranger who wanted to be my friend on Facebook. As usual before I add anyone as friend on FB I would check their profile first. My condition is simple; there must be a personal profile image of that person and a name. It is all right if a person use a user name but the true image of the person must be there. Without it I would send a gentle request on a Personal message to the person that he or she must put his or her personal image on the profile. Without the Personal Profile Image I would not add such a person. Since her profile was all right I add her and we soon ...
