Getting around in the Golden Age...

It another Friday folk and almost the end of March 2018. Tomorrow is another weekend. It looks time moved so fast nowadays. Hardly we knew it already another month. Next week would be the last week of March 2018. This Sunday I would be meeting for the first time two of my Facebook friends. We planned to meet at 12pm at KL Sentral. Well as I had always say strangers are friends we have yet to meet. We have been friends in the virtual world and God willing we would be friends in the physical world as well. At my age I had to find an easy place to meet friend, as well for friends of my age group to meet too. Since I do not drive into the city anymore I found the KL Sentral is the best place to meet as one could get there by trains like the LRT, MRT, Commuter and of course by taxi or by Grab or Uber. I would be taking Grab there as that is the easier way to get straight to KL Sentral. Another choice for me is to drive my car to KLCC which is just five minutes away from my home, park the car there and then takes the LRT from there. KLCC and the GE Mall is the only places I now drive my car. Elsewhere I would take Grab or Uber or get the Driver of our kid to send us whenever the driver is free like yesterday we got the driver to send us to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and back. It was hassle-free and convenience for both of us. Well folks at this age we must find a way to get around and as I still love to drive my own car I tried to drive anywhere near my neighborhood. At time where the opportunity arises I would take the opportunity to drive the Honda to Kuantan, my hometown. I could only do that when my daughter Lin is around to accompany me to and fro. It nice to be able to drive long distance once a while. Well folks, age is catching up and I had to conformed with my ability to get around as to continue to enjoy life the ways I used to do from my youth. The availability of  Uber/Grab transportation of  getting from  A to B has made it easy for me to get anywhere in the city with ease. Technology has made that possible. Now with the Apps on my Smartphone I could get a cab with ease. Well folk’s life is like that.

Have a nice day.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already.  I posted that image on Facebook and below are two informative comments made there by two of

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
