Lunch at Bangsar...

That day December 12 at 11 am on a cloudy Wednesday morning, for a change I went to Bangsar for a lunch appointment with a friend there. Bangsar is rather far away from where I live in Ampang. Actually, Ampang Jaya the housing area is in Ulu Kelang and Bangsar is on the other side of the city of Kuala Lumpur. One had to drive across the city to get there. So, it not normal that I would go there for lunch. I had my kid's driver to sent me there since I no longer drive across the city. I have been to Bangsar a number of times and I like the stores there. Most stores are of a different concepts than those at Suria KLCC. Makan the Malaysian way....

Yes Makan. In Malaysia, the word Makan is always in the mind of Malaysian. Unlike in the West, in Malaysia you can go and eat or drink 24/7. From the best of restaurants in the Hotel and Mall to the roadside stalls you can enjoy your foods the way you like it. There are always foods and foods at any time of the day; it does not matter, early morning or at midnight. I took the Grab taxi service and got there just before twelve thirty.  The Manager a Mr. John Yeo who had invited me greet me at the lobby of the hotel. I was then i...

Of Dinning...

We are in the golden years and enjoying it. At this age what better things to do than to continue to enjoy life as we move on. Among other things we would go for fine dine from time. To me eating and fine dine are two different things. Eating is just when you are hungry and it could be done anywhere. As long as one is no longer hungry it considered done. It about filling your stomach and nothing else. But in fine dine it a different story altogether. One go for fine dine to enjoy the time more than the food. It about a complete enjoyment of space, time, the ambiance, the company, the service and of course the food. It not about the cost which in most case cost more to eat the same thing in a Fine Dine restaurant than in a Food Court or at a roadside stall. It about a total enjoyment and that is why I would be happy to pay more for the same food in a fine dine restaurant. It a way of pampering ourselves and enjoying every minutes of it.  Let me share my e...
