Just Taking It Easy....

The MCO has been relax and folks could now do whatever they did before the pandemic occurred like go to the park or just jog around the neighborhood for exercise. I decided  to start jogging around the neighborhood again. So this afternoon with a walking stick I  start walking slowly like I normally did and enjoy the walk. It was indeed refreshing. Today I did not seen other people doing that like in the past. Maybe like me they may start doing it one of these days. Last week in the early morning I saw one of my friend already start to do his morning walk. He stop and we chat at a distance to avoid contact, following the Distancing SOP. It looks like this pandemic did change our norms which folks now call the New Normal, like not shaking hands when we meet friends and at the same time wear mask to protect ourselves from  getting infected. Because of the lockdown which the government call the Movement Control Order  or the MCO the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health has managed to reduced the numbers of people infected by the Convid 19 virus. It was because folks had follow the SOP set by the government that the country had managed to put things under control. With that the MCO has further been relax allowing the people to go on with their lives back to normal like before. The MCO affected the economy and the government is doing all it could like giving various incentives to get business back just like before the pandemic. I believe with good governance the country would soon be back to normal, to continue to prosper like before. Well folks life is like that.

Have a nice day.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already.  I posted that image on Facebook and below are two informative comments made there by two of

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
