Food cook using the Microwave Oven...

I believe all of us love to enjoy our food. When we see the foods it is our eyes that taste it first follow by our nose. Only then that we taste it by our mouth. If the food we are eating taste good in our mouth we wound continue to eat it and enjoy it. Above is a bowl of freshly steamed fish that is done using the microwave oven. From our experience it is much easier to steam fish in the microwave oven than the conventional way using the steamer. There are lots of work when one use the steamer; from boiling the water to create the steam using multilayer steamer pots require lots of works. It is much simpler to use the Microwave oven. When using the microwave oven one just had to use a container that is microwave safe. Put the fish in the container with whatever garnishing in it and cling-wrapped it tight. Then put it in the microwave oven and cook it for between 6 to 8 minutes [depend on the type of Microwave oven you are using]. The fish above was done in our microwave oven in just 8 minutes. It’s perfectly cook and retained all its nutrition. For six cobs of Corn we normally get it done the same way in just 8 minutes. That folks is the beauty of using the microwave oven. No need to use many utensil but just a single container and the Cling-wrap. It done.

Have a nice day.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already.  I posted that image on Facebook and below are two informative comments made there by two of

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
