The Moon of Ramadan...

Since February and the Covid 19 happening it has been raining in the afternoon and the sky is often cloudy and the moon could not be sighted. I have been trying to get a shot of the moon but so far to no avail but last evening May 3, 2020 while at the kitchen to clean some utensils I heard the phone ring. By the time I got to the phone it stop ringing and I missed the call. I look at the number on my cellphone and saw a number that I had not registered. To avoid span or unwanted call I seldom call back any number that had not been registered on my phone. But this time I thought that I should call back and it was answered by a familiar voice; it Mrs Chan the neighbour. She told me that this is her personal cellphone number. In the past we always communicate by the fixed line phone. Anyway she say she wanted to tell me that a Brunch cutter that she thought belong to me is left hanging near the telephone pole in front of her house  It may get lost if not taken back into the house. I was surprised since I had not taken the cutter but the maid did cut some brunches a few days ago. So I went out and true enough it the Brunch cutter that belong to us. At that time I look at the sky and I saw a shining moon. Happy I then went into the house put the cutter in the garage and went up to take my camera. I then took a numbers of shots of the moon. Had it not been for that call from Mrs. Chan I would not have seen the moon. Actually I had given up to watch for the moon since it has been raining all afternoon and the sky was always cloudy. Well it looks like calling back the unregistered number did have a positive result in that I got my Brunch cutter back and  the opportunity to see the moon that night.  Above is the image of the tenth day of the Ramadan Moon.. An amazing opportunity indeed. Alhamdullilah.  Enjoy it folks.

Have a nice day.

Halwa Maskat...

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
