Taking it easy...


After breakfast I sat at the Serambi to while my time away. With Kenet sitting on my lap I just let my thoughts run wild. It just rain and the Serambi is cool. Nice!. In between surfing the net on my Smartphone I read a few pages of Rumi's. Sufism always enriches my understanding of life. At this age; I am now 80 years old I am taking things easy. In Sya Allah come the 17th of this August I would be 81. Alhamdulillah my health is as good for my age. I still love to read and always enjoyed my meals. Of course I get tired and felt sleepy from time to time for age is catching up. I would then take a break. There is nothing to rush but to enjoy every minutes of the time that I had been blessed. The image on this posting is part of my own woodwork. I had always enjoyed doing creative things with woods.

Kuala Lumpur., Yesterday the 9th of March 2024 we were taken by our eldest daughter(Dr.Ruszy) and her husband(Dr.Amin) to go and see the place their new project, a coffee shop is been planned at an outlet in Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras The outlet is called Diastole Cafe and managed by their eldest son Anwar. It is planned to be opened on June 1st 2024 In Sya Allah. Alhamdulillah.  

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. My little garden . ..

I love gardening and with the little space that I got in front of my patio I planted many greens including the one that flowers throughout the years.  As they say flowers are the keepers of our Joys.  Indeed they are. I am always happy when looking at these wonderful God's creation. Here are some of the flowers that blooms in my little garden as well those that grows in front of the house.
