Playing Tourist at Bukit Bintang...

I had to get a Decoder for one of my TV, so I went to the Low Yat Plaza at Bukit Bintang to get it. I got there by the E-hailing taxi MyCar. It was a pleasant ride which cost me just below MR10.00. Got there in good time and went to the Food Court to get some bites. After getting the Decoder I went to take a walk along Jalan Bukit Bintang heading toward the Pavilion. I was surprised to see that whole area had been sprue up and the place looks different that before, since I went there a year ago. Bukit Bintang is already throng with tourists going both ways. I took it easy and just walk at my pace. At the same time with my Canon EOS M10 I took as much images of the changing scenes along the way. The haze is still there but not that bad so it was alright to take some good images along the way.

I felt real good walking and at one point I managed to get a tourist to snap a picture of me standing at the MRT station there. Since I was the one taking snaps most of the times I am always not in the picture. A kind tourist agreed to take over my camera and took my photo. Thanks to him I now have at least one picture of me at Bukit Bintang this time of the year. I thank him and then continue on with my walking, enjoying the minutes while watching the tourists goes by along the way. After being absent from the place for a year I found the whole place has changed. Old buildings with uplifted front as well completely renovated. Everywhere there are electronic signage advertising good and services. As I approach the Pavillion the crowds became dense with many tourists and local walking both ways. It was just like any other area of cities where tourists love to go. Soon I became one of them with my camera taking pictures.

Here are some images of the happening there, tourists on the Hop On bus, me at the MRT station and Graffiti along the pathway. Enjoy it folks much as I had  enjoyed snapping it.

Have a nice day.

Ikan Singgang....

Ikan Singgang is  one traditional Malay dish that is simple to do. Yet it is not only delicious but nutritious as well. Its one dish that you can find in the Malay world, perhaps call by other names, nevertheless it is still Ikan Singgang. It is the creation of our ancestors where fish have always been their main protein source; sort of the wisdom of the old. A wise creation indeed and because of it we still kept enjoying it  I have always love Ikan Singgang especially when Ikan Aya [Tuna fish] is use but it always taste as good even with other fish like Tenggiri or Kerisi. When making this simple dish one herb/spice that is a must is Lengkuas [Galangal] for without it the Singgang is not complete. The above image of Ikan Singgang is made with Ikan Tenggiri. Delicious as usual. Taken with steamy white rice and Budu [Anchovies sauce] or Sambal Belacan [Shrimp sauce] it is heaven already.  I posted that image on Facebook and below are two informative comments made there by two of

The Sunrise at Teluk Cempedak...

We were in Kuantan for a short holiday. As usual I always take the time to watch the sunrise at Teluk Cempedak; a beach that I call my own. I grew up playing on that sandy beach from the age of seven years old and I felt in love with the sea. So going to that beach is a ritual that I never missed to do whenever I am in Kuantan.  Early that Saturday morning of September 3, 2016 I woke early and with my nephew driving we left for the beach at around 6.30am. According to the data I had the sun would rise at Teluk Cempedak at 7.01am that morning. When we arrived at the beach there were already others there waiting for the sun to rise. I had brought my latest camera the Canon EOS M10 with me. It is a Mirrorless camera, the new new generation of the DSLR. It is much smaller than the DSLR and have interchangeable lens. As soon as I got there I walk along the beach and enjoy the freshness of the morning air. Yonder at the horizon I could see some light as the the sun makes it
