The EFM 11-22 mm lens...

Last week I got a new lens for my mirrorless camera the Canon EOS M10. This is a Wide Angle lens which also allows for taking Macro shot. With this 11-22 mm lens I could get into another level of photography. It would be a new adventure in the world of photography using the Mirrorless camera. Because of its advance technology many aspects of photography could be done with this single lens thus it a good lens to have when travelling. Above is a wide angle photo that I took using this lens. Amazing indeed.

Have a nice day.

Hello from safe Ulu Michigan! That is a very nice lens! I haven't had a wide-angle lens in many years, and I missed having one many times! I look forward to seeing many more photos! You can take a picture of your whole family in one room!

Howard, thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts on the subject of this posting. I was looking for such lens and found it at the outlet at KLCC. Without much thoughts I bought it and soon found to my surprise that is does do a good Wide Angle shot and at the same time it can do Macro too. Yes I tried the room and could take the whole room in one take. This is the third Mirrorless lens that I got. Now looking for the 800mm which is already in the market. I have got the 200mm and the 800 would be a trill to shoot the heaven or birds.

Have a nice day.

800mm lens? Wow! The biggest telephoto lens I had was 210mm, and the best my friends (enthusiasts, not professionals) had was 300mm. I look forward to seeing your 800mm photos! (You will be able to photograph the Man on The Moon!)

The Flags in Colonial Malaya...

In this posting I want to talk about Flags. I was born in 1939 and grew up during the Japanese occupation of Malaya from 1941 to 1945. So the first flag I saw was the Japanese flag, the white flag with the red circle in the centre. With the return of the British authority the Union Jack was again flown everywhere. With the defeat of the Japanese and the return of the British authority in Malaya the school was reopened. Except for the Japanese school all other schools was closed during the Japanese occupation. In January 1946 I start schooling. I remember my father took me to Sekolah Melayu Teruntun at Jalan Gambut in Kuantan. From the shop-house at Wall Street [now Jalan Mahkota] where we live we walk across the Padang, then follow the path across the grassland behind the Kuantan District Office to the school. The school is across the road with a few Pokok Kelapa Bali planted in front near the roadside. Kelapa Bali is what the Oil Palm is now known. It was at the school tha...
