I love scouting and have been in the scout movement all
throughout my school days at Abdullah School Kuantan. It was through scouting
that I learn about leadership and other skills which later on help me to be
successful in my career in the Government Service. For my success in the Scout Movement
I was awarded the highest award any scout could ever expected and that was
the Queen Scout Certificate. It was call the Queen Scout when the country was
still rule by the British colonial authority. Now it is known as Pengakap Raja.
The above image shows me receiving the Queen Scout Certificate from the British
High Commissioner at the town Padang in Kuala Lumpur just before the
country gain its independence on August 31, 1957.

Yes it was trough scouting that I learn about the correct way of tying ropes, the skill on jungle tracking as well ow to survive in an expedition. In those days we are always into activities of sorts on weekend and most of the time we end camping at the beach in Kuantan. One of the greatest adventure was our cycling expedition from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur in the fifties. We made it in four to five days one way and for the first time saw Kuala Lumpur with our own eyes. All in all it was the skills in leadership that made me what I am today.

Well I always tried hard to be the best in whatever I do. I tried to acquire as much knowledge as possible thus I read. Till today I read at least two books a month. I knew at an earlier age that without knowledge one would not go far in life thus when we have kids we give the best education to all of them.
At this age I felt that the best way to give is to share my thoughts thus I Blog and Facebooking; with a hope that whatever I share it would in a way benefit others to improve their quality of life.
